Problem

Picture 1010 people standing in a circle, spaced evenly apart.

Each person knows exactly 33 of the other 99 people:

  • the person standing on their left,
  • the person standing on their right,
  • and the person standing directly across the circle from them.

We want to split the 1010 people into 55 pairs. In every pair, the two people must already know each other.
